Footy’s back and so is the AFL Record

aflblog

Last week the AFL Record kicked off it’s third season on iPad. This year brings a slick, new, iOS7-optimised user interface, along with the usual weekly magazine content necessary for any footy fan. Each weekly issue features selected stories from the print edition, video content including player interviews, match highlights, photo galleries, headshots of every listed player, a dedicated match centre for each game of the round and an interactive games section for the kids.

What is most exciting however is that this year the AFL Record introduces an interactive score card. The AFL Record team listened to the fans and the 2014 version of the app now allows users to mark their own scores just as they would with a printed copy at a game.

The team at Oomph applaud the AFL Record team’s efforts for not only pushing the limits of technology and setting the benchmark for tablet magazines, but also for listening to the fans and finding ways to give them what they want.

The AFL Record is published weekly during the AFL season and can be downloaded here.
