We are very pleased to announce that the UNSW Business School Marketing, Admissions and Student Recruitment Unit won 2 awards at the Australian Marketing Institute State (NSW) awards. One of which was under the “Education” category for the UNSW ASB app, powered by Oomph.
James Lew from the UNSW Business School said:
“The winning submission under the “Education” category was for our UNSW Business School iPad app “8 Reasons to Study Business at UNSW”. Student Experience is a key differential factor for us at the Business School and research has shown the it is a key decision making factor when choosing to study at a university or business school. Although students and agents can obtain a wealth of information on our website, we felt there was a need to really visually showcase the student life and the UNSW campus through some different channels. We opted for an iPad app so that we could bring in multiple video elements alongside beautiful photographic images that students, agents and parents can download. We have found this to be an incredibly useful recruitment tool and have had great feedback from students and agents alike. As a result we are now working on translating this app into different languages and an iPhone and Android version.
The judges commented that it was great to see the innovative use of apps, and even though it is in its very early stages (we launched in Jan this year), they could see plenty of future potential with this winning entry.”
